2023 achievements: reduction of CO2 emissions, control of the supply chain, waste management and internal mobility

The fight against climate change is an integral part of the Group’s strategy, through the products it markets and within its operations. Forsee Power has strengthened the initiatives put in place to limit its scope 1 and 2 emissions, in particular through the electrification of its vehicle fleets, the commissioning of a solar power plant on the French production site or even the implementation installation of meters on industrial equipment.

Thus, in 2023, the increase in CO2 eq emissions from scope 1 & 2 combined is limited to 2% while activity has increased by 54% at the same time.

Furthermore, the strengthening of waste management at production sites, in collaboration with suppliers and customers, has made it possible to reduce the use of packaging. The weight of waste per kWh produced has decreased significantly, from 0.79 kg in 2022 to 0.68 kg in 2023.

The Group also strengthened its supply chain control process by integrating a highly demanding ESG questionnaire into Group quality audits and continued its collaboration with Bureau Veritas for the third-party audit of its key suppliers.

Finally, Forsee Power has developed an HR policy for internal mobility to support and develop its talents. Thus, 50 employees benefited from internal mobility, or 20% of open positions.

Development of a “Net Zero” roadmap for validation by SBTi

In a process of continuous improvement of its practices for a more sustainable activity and in anticipation of an increasingly demanding regulatory framework, Forsee Power worked on the analysis of its carbon footprint covering the 3 scopes to develop a “Net Zero” roadmap.

In 2023, the Group signed and sent its letter of commitment to the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi). Thanks to the analysis of CO2 emissions, Forsee Power has developed its decarbonization plan according to SBTi standards to have the organization validate in the coming weeks the alignment of its objectives with the Paris Agreement.

In 2023, Forsee Power strengthened its reporting processes and integrated new indicators in anticipation of the CSRD which will be applicable to performance for the year 2024. We have improved our processes and are recording progress on the three pillars: environment, social and governance, recognized by a 2nd EcoVadis gold medal with a result of 72/100. The analysis of our carbon footprint and the preparation of our decarbonization roadmap also mobilized the teams a lot.” declares Sophie Tricaud, Vice-President Corporate Affairs of Forsee Power. “In 2024, our efforts are focused on CSRD, strengthening supplier due vigilance and integrating our new sites in the United States and Japan into the ESG reporting scope. »
