Paris RATP call for tenders: Forsee Power will equip HEULIEZ electric buses with its batteries

Paris, July 30, 2021 – Forsee Power, the expert in smart battery systems for sustainable electromobility, is pleased to have won with its partner IVECO the largest batch in the call for tenders launched by RATP as part of its Bus2025 plan. The contract awarded to IVECO includes 180 standard electric buses GX 337 ELEC HEULIEZ, the deliveries of which will take place in 2022-2023.

This call for tenders, funded by Île-de-France Mobilités, are part of the implementation of the Bus2025 plan aimed at making the Paris bus fleet and its region more environment friendly.

European leader on the electric bus market with the most comprehensive range of batteries

Forsee Power has been the supplier of HEULIEZ since 2015 and supports the OEM in the electrification of all its buses throughout Europe with all its battery ranges.

The Group has the most comprehensive battery portfolio on the market, offering high energy (NMC) and high power (LTO) lithium-ion technology and counts the largest number of references among electric bus manufacturers in Europe.

Forsee Power battery systems are available in ZEN high-energy (night charge), FLEX energy and power (opportunity charge), and high-power PULSE (ultra-fast charge and hydrogen hybridization) versions.

Already present on the RATP electric buses with its ZEN 35 solution, Forsee Power will equip the GX 337 ELEC buses of HEULIEZ with its brand-new ZEN 42, a high-energy battery system that provides 20% more energy density than the ZEN 35, in the same format.

In 2021, Forsee Power also launched the world’s thinnest high-energy modular battery range: ZEN SLIM, to adapt to changes in the Group’s target markets. This new generation of extra thin batteries provides one of the best energy densities on the market and multiple integration capabilities: on the roof, in the rear or in the floor of vehicles.

An innovative Group committed to a sustainable approach

Always innovating, the Group aims to develop sustainable products to meet the needs of manufacturers and to successfully transition to zero-emission mobility. It also offers a range of services including, in particular, financing solutions (battery rental) to accelerate the transition to electromobility and second-life solutions to reuse vehicle batteries into stationary energy storage systems.

This award by RATP to our client IVECO marks a new step for Forsee Power in our position as the European leader in battery systems for buses, based on our engineering strength in the design of ever more efficient systems that meet the requirements of new zero-emission transport” explains Christophe Gurtner, Chairman and CEO of Forsee Power.

Forsee Power batteries are produced at its industrial site in Chasseneuil-du-Poitou in France dedicated to manufacturing batteries for European heavy transport (road, rail and marine). The site already employs 200 people and will be inaugurated after the summer.
